A Scandi-inspired snack bar has just opened its doors in Edmonton
Snack bars are having a moment in Edmonton right now, and one of the latest additions is a new Scandi-inspired snack and cocktail bar.
Kommune Snack Bar has opened at 11931 Jasper Ave., taking over the space that was previously occupied by Ikki Sake Bar.
The interior is not unlike something found in Scandinavia. It’s light and bright, with plants, light wood finishings and vinyl records adorning the walls.

Kommune’s menu is focused on small plates, with dishes such as smoked meat schnitzel, crispy potato cakes, rye bread and more to enjoy while sipping on a cocktail.
The spot also offers unique house cocktails, including its coriander spritz with coriander liqueur, sparkling wine and sparkling water or its sherry colada lowball with sherry and pineapple bubbly. It also offers beer, wine and non-alcoholic options.
Kommune Snack Bar is open from 4 p.m. to midnight daily.
