Uniqlo is opening its second location in Edmonton later this week
Japanese clothing giant UNIQLO is expanding its reach in Edmonton, with another location opening in the city later this week.
On Friday, October 27, the company will open its second YEG location in Southgate Centre.
“We are excited to open our second location in Edmonton,” said Daisuke Tsukagoshi, CEO of UNIQLO North America, in a press release.
“Since opening at West Edmonton Mall in 2019, It’s clear that Edmonton customers shop with longevity in mind ā UNIQLO has always strived to offer thoughtfully crafted clothing with life’s needs in mind.”
The 15,000-square-footĀ storeĀ will offer everything that makes UNIQLO unique, from the guest experience to its entire lineup of LifeWear for men, women, and kids.
In anticipation of this exciting opening, UNIQLO has plenty of plans and activities for customers who visit the store this weekend. This includes in-store and online offers, a gift with in-store purchase, special-edition T-shirts featuring art by Edmonton artists, as well as an opening day celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The first 200 customers on opening day will receive free coffee and donuts from The Colombian. Festivities kick off at 9:15 am on Friday.
West Edmonton Mall was the first location the clothing giant opened in Alberta.
Our friends to the south in Calgary recently joined in on the fun after the city’s first UNIQLO location opened in August.
UNIQLO is also entering new cities across the US, with more to come in Canada. UNIQLO aims to open 20 new stores a year to reach 200 in North America by 2027.
