Tiki Tiki on Whyte: Edmonton's newest tiki bar finally opening this week
Tiki Tiki on Whyte is an exciting new tiki bar with a familiar name, and it’s finally opening this week in Edmonton.
Opening on Thursday, October 26, in the space formerly occupied by Pho Boy Vietnamese Kitchen, this fresh new space brings all the tiki-inspired vibes to YEG. There are several amazing spots to escape to a vacation-like atmosphere in Edmonton, and this new concept aims to be another hotspot.
Tiki Tiki on Whyte pays homage to a former Edmonton spot serving rum-infused drinks in a tropical atmosphere ā one of the city’s coolest bars in the 1970s was the Tiki Tiki Lounge.

Its menu features modern gastropub fare with a fusion of Polynesian flavours, which includes brunch options such as the “Tuna Poke Benny,” seared rockfish, and of course, a couple of dishes featuring Spam.

There are plenty of tiki and tropical-inspired cocktails to be had, including mai tai, sangrias, and all sorts of rum-infused beverages. We are very interested in the “Mermaid Water” cocktail, loaded with “mermaid juice,” blue curacao, Malibu, and spiced rum.
“We are finally open on Thursday, October 26th! We are excited to see you all and finally be your staycation close to home. This has been a long wait, and we love you all for waiting so patiently! We look forward to seeing you all next weekend!'” the bar stated in an Instagram post.
