If you’ve driven on Wye Road in Sherwood Park lately, a new apartment building in progress may have caught your eye.

The low-rise apartment building, called Mason at Hillshire, will be four storeys and is being built on a 1.65-acre site at 110 Hillshire Blvd.

Strathcona County issued a building permit in March 2026. The permit states that the estimated construction cost of the project is $15,000,000. The first move-ins are expected sometime in early 2027.

It will hold 84 rental units, comprising 15 one-bedroom and 69 two-bedroom units. A guest suite will also be on the property for residents’ visitors, along with a main-floor fitness room and a shared amenity room.

Daily Hive reached out to developer Sundeep Randhawa regarding this project, who revealed that there will be 64 underground parking stalls in a parkade spanning about 24,800 square feet. There will also be 68 surface stalls for residents and visitors.

The vision for the property includes brick-pier entrances, a rhythmic, varied facade, and landscaping that will feature planted boulevards, trees, and sidewalk connections, making the corner pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly. Balconies will also be stacked and have sleek metal railings and large glass windows.

Mason at Hillshire is being developed by the same ownership group behind Hillshire Centre Ltd., the Shoppes at Hillshire, a roughly 38,500-square-foot retail centre right beside it on Wye Road.

Sherwood Park has had a bustling past few months for new developments, with two new businesses revealed at a former Safeway location in the hamlet, and a big shopping plaza announcing seven new restaurants in the works off the Anthony Henday at Baseline Road and Broadmoor Boulevard.
