Edmonton’s newest goaltender tied the knot last weekend.

Fresh off signing a one-year deal with the Oilers in free agency, Frederik Andersen exchanged vows with longtime girlfriend Annalise Bonesho last Saturday. The two wed in a beautiful ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Andersen is having quite the summer, as he is coming off a Stanley Cup championship with the Carolina Hurricanes in June.

The couple had U.K.-based singer Idreiss perform at the wedding, who then shared photos from the ceremony on Instagram.

The ceremony was well-attended and included some high-profile NHL names, as ex-Toronto Maple Leafs teammates Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner were spotted celebrating with the Andersens.

Andersen played with Matthews and Marner in Toronto between 2016 and 2021.

It was a busy weekend for Oilers players who go by “Freddy,” as Trent Frederic also got married in a St. Louis ceremony on the exact same day that Andersen tied the knot. Apart from those two this offseason, Edmonton defenceman Spencer Stastney got engaged back in March.

Andersen will look to bring stability to the Oilers crease this upcoming season. He is expected to anchor a three-goalie rotation in the Alberta capital alongside Tristan Jarry and fellow newcomer Devon Levi.

The 36-year-old is coming off a disappointing regular season but turned things around with an amazing playoff run. Andersen posted an incredible 13-2 record and .910 SV% in 16 playoff games with the Hurricanes.

If Andersen can bring even a semblance of that performance to the Oilers crease next season, it could help Edmonton take that next step.
