This popular ice cream shop in Edmonton is offering exciting hands-on workshops
Made by Marcus is offering ice cream-making workshops in Edmonton, with the opportunity to create your dream dessert flavour and take it home to enjoy.
This popular ice cream shop opened in Calgary and has since expanded into Edmonton, now operating almost 10 locations across Alberta. Its ice cream is built from scratch, made from dairy from grass-fed cows and real ingredients produced by trusted farmers, roasters, distillers, and artisans.
Now, the shop is running its own ice cream-making workshops, where you’ll get to take home your own custom-made pints, made just how you’d like it.
These workshops will cover everything from how the ice cream is made to making your very own custom flavour to bring home. If you’re looking to get your hands on some custom pints, we’ve got all the details.

There are three types of workshops available to book: Ice Cream 101, Date Night, and Sundae School.
Ice Cream 101 is a 90-minute session where you’ll learn all about the ice cream-making process while you receive guided instructions on making your own flavours with house-made toppings. Folks are welcome to bring up to three mix-ins for their own ice cream creations.
While you make your own pints, you’ll get tastings during the workshop to try these delicious treats and even get to churn yourself.
Those who participate in the Ice Cream 101 workshop will receive a complimentary welcome drink, four pints of your own creation, and 15 per cent off in-store purchases for that day.
Tickets are available for September dates now, with pricing being $115 per person.
For those looking for a date night experience, there is a special workshop designed specifically for pairs. With this, you’ll be getting the same ice cream-making experience where you and your partner will make two pints each, enjoy two complimentary drinks, and receive a Made by Marcus tote bag to take home your ice cream.
You’ll be looking at $120.75 per person for this specific workshop, with tickets still being available for select September dates.
The final workshop available is Sundae School, which is best suited for children between five and 12, and accompanied by an adult.
With the same ice cream-making concept in mind, kids will be able to work with their parent or partner to crank out their own batch of custom ice cream. There’s even a cool liquid nitrogen demo during the process that will have the children amazed.
For this workshop, you’ll head home with your own sundae, a special recipe card for home, and 15 per cent off in-store purchases for that day. Tickets start at $65 for its upcoming events, including both the child and the parent.
