Edmonton is getting a new location of this local chicken spot

Ralphs Fried Chicken is an Edmonton-based chicken shop that currently has two locations within the city, but now we can expect a whole new south location to open before the month ends.

If you aren’t familiar, Ralphs Fried Chicken opened its first restaurant in August 2023 in Castledowns with a spectacular halal menu. Following the success of the opening, the business opened a new location a year later in the downtown area. Now, following the trend of August openings, there’s a third location in the works for the southside of the city.

“Construction has taken a little longer than expected, but we’re now in the final stages and aiming for an Aug. 31 soft opening,” says the team on Instagram.

For those who haven’t visited Ralphs Fried Chicken before, you’re in for a treat.

This spot specializes in “serving the juiciest, crispiest fried chicken you’ll ever taste,” all with the help of its special seasonings and fresh ingredients. On top of serving chicken, you’ll also be able to find fluffy potato spuds, delicious gravy, and tangy coleslaw to accompany your meal.

If you don’t want to wait for the new location to open, we’d suggest heading on down to one of the two locations already open for business. These spots will have the same flavourful chicken and sides that will be available at the upcoming southside location.

Though we must say, we’re pretty excited to have a Ralphs on the south end of the city, and we bet you folks will be too.
