Luso’s Bakery and Bistro comes to Edmonton as one of the newest spots for Portuguese food and groceries.

This new spot calls itself a traditional Portuguese bakery, featuring classic pastry items like Portuguese egg tarts, Papo Seco, and Portuguese Water Bread. Not only that, but this new bakery and bistro is home to a whole grocery section.

“Born from a shared dream between husband and wife, Luso’s Bakery and Bistro was created to bring the true taste of Portugal to a community longing for quality, authenticity, and variety,” says the team on Instagram. “More than a bakery, it is a warm Portuguese home away from home – filled with traditional breads, beloved pastries, and a curated selection of authentic Portuguese products. Every detail is made with love, tradition, and flavours brought from afar”

Luso’s only opened its doors two weeks ago, and since then, it’s been well received by locals around the city.

At this new bakery and bistro, you’ll be able to get fresh pastries and cakes, Portuguese cheeses, seafood and traditional salt cod, as well as a wide range of grocery items for you to explore. Since opening, the business’s Instagram has been featuring full shelves of delicious baked goods and fully stocked shelves.

As for hours, this spot is open Monday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you want an authentic taste of Portuguese pastries, this is definitely a spot to check out soon.
