A popular sports talk show is returning to Edmontonās FM dial this fall.
The Nielson Show, hosted by Dustin Nielson and Lt. Eric, will air weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m. on 95.7 Cruz FM starting Wednesday, Sept. 3.
The show has built a following through Edmonton Sports Talkās YouTube live streams, which launched after AM 1260 went off the air in June 2023, leaving a gap in local sports coverage.
Edmonton Sports Talk aims to cover both the cityās major teams and the smaller programs and players that call the city home.

Nielson, a former national CFL broadcaster for TSN and longtime voice of Edmonton sports radio, previously hosted The Nielson Show on local airwaves.
āBringing The Nielson Show to 95.7 Cruz FM fills a gap for Edmonton sports fans,ā said Travis Stewart, director of local media at Harvard Media.
Nielson said moving from digital to FM gives the show a chance to reach a wider audience.
āWhen we started Edmonton Sports Talk two years ago, it was the first 24/7 digital sports station in the country. Now we have the opportunity to put Sports Talk on FM for the first time,ā he said.

āSports media is an industry that is continually getting smaller, but now we have a rare chance to change that by trying something new, and itās important to me to show that it can and will be successful.ā
The FM launch is part of Harvard Mediaās ongoing investment in local programming, aimed at maintaining a sports-focused presence on Edmonton radio, the company wrote.
