Less than a week after Edmonton Police issued a warning to the public about the release of a violent offender, warrants have been issued for his arrest.

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service issued a warning last week related to the release of 26-year-old Rodney Gambler.

On Monday, police said they have issued arrest warrants for Gambler, who has allegedly breached conditions of his court order.

According to a release, Gambler is wanted under two counts of breach of recognizance.

“He poses a great risk to the public and is considered by police to be a violent and sexually violent offender, most notably while under the influence of any intoxicants,” says the release.

Gambler is described as being 5’10”, 165 lbs, with dark brown/black hair and brown eyes. He is considered dangerous, is known to carry weapons, and should not be approached.
