The frenzy over Edmonton Oilers 50/50 tickets continued Friday, with so many fans wanting to purchase tickets that the website crashed.

Daily Hive tried to access it around 5:30 pm MT Friday, but received an error message. The jackpot currently sits at just over $5-million.

Even with no fans physically in the arena, hockey enthusiasts are still showing their support by purchasing tickets to win the in-game lottery prize.

The 50/50 ticket fever follows a week of ticket sales producing higher and higher jackpots. On Wednesday, the jackpot hit $5 million after only five hours of ticket sales.

Tickets can be purchased on the Edmonton Oilers website — if you can get through, that is.
