California Pizza Kitchen is opening its second Edmonton location
Another California Pizza Kitchen is coming to Edmonton, and we can’t wait!
California Pizza Kitchen Canada announced in October that it would be opening a second location in Edmonton. Its first Canadian location sits in Windemere, and this new joint would take home in Edmonton’s Southgate Centre.
This restaurant originated in California, hence the name, and serves up not only hand-tossed pizza, but pasta, soup, and salad. It even has its own signature cocktail menu, featuring drinks like its Sparkling Mojito and Tropical Mule.

This new location will be taking place in Edmonton’s Southgate Centre in the southwest corner, located on the south side of the city. The other pizza kitchen is also on the south side of the river, calling Windemere its home since 2022.
These two locations mark the only two Alberta locations as well as the only two Canadian locations of the franchise. We can only expect to see the expansion of the brand further into Canadian territory.
As it just held another hiring fair last week, we can only assume the opening day is getting closer and closer. No official opening date has been announced or teased, other than Fall 2025.
