A popular dumpling shop concept has just opened its first location near Edmonton

A popular zero-contact dumpling spot is finally opening its first location just outside Edmonton.
Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, the huge chain of “automat” dumpling shops, opened its first Canadian outpost in Calgary last year. Now, it’s opening in Sherwood Park.
The concept, which was founded by NYC restaurateur Stratis Morfogen, offers dozens of unique dumpling flavours like mac and cheese, Reuben, lamb gyro, and even dessert dumplings.

However, if you’re more of a dumpling traditionalist, the spot also has pork and kimchi and wagyu beef.
Unlike other dumpling spots, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is zero-contact. All you need to do is place your order online or at an in-store kiosk, scan your barcode and grab your order from an automat in-store.
The new location is open in Sherwood Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 10 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
