A massive country music festival is heading west, with the Boots and Hearts festival set to take place in Edmonton next August.
Republic Live, the company behind the long-running Ontario festival, is partnering with OEG Sports & Entertainment to launch Boots and Hearts West on Aug. 28 and 29, 2026, in Fan Park @ ICE District.
Some big names have already been announced as headliners, with platinum-selling artist Russell Dickerson headlining opening night on Friday, Aug. 28, and Grammy-nominated Shaboozey closing out the festival on Aug. 29. More performers will be announced at a later date, the festival says.

The move brings Boots to Western Canada for the first time, expanding the festival that has built a massive following over the past 15 years.
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid has been a longtime regular at the Ontario festival, from joining his brother Cam on stage in 2021 to appearing in an interview at the festival with teammate Leon Draisaitl and headliners Nickelback in 2023. With Boots and Hearts heading west, we wonder if he’ll stick around for the summer!
