There have been a fair few sad restaurant closures in Edmonton in 2025, and now there’s one more to add to the list.

Ashford House Pub, an Irish gastropub in Manchester Square, has revealed it has sadly closed its doors after two years.

“With deep gratitude, we now say goodbye. Ashford House Pub has officially closed its doors, but the memories, laughter, and community that filled these walls will always remain,” the restaurant said in a statement on its website.

“Remember to support your local small businesses. They are the heart of our communities, the places where connections are made, and traditions are kept alive. Every meal shared, drink poured, and conversation had within their walls helps keep these spaces thriving.”

The spot also thanked its patrons and staff who had been part of its journey.

The news has been met with sadness from the community, with an outpouring of messages from customers who said they would miss Ashford House.

“So sad to hear this. I’ll miss visiting this pub,” one person commented on Instagram.

“Loved having some great Irish pub food in the neighbourhood,” another added.

Having opened in 2023, Ashford House Pub offered classic Irish pub fare from Sunday roast dinners to bangers and mash, as well as bar snacks such as wings and burgers.
