Two new bar concepts are opening at an iconic Edmonton location
When Biera announced the shocking closure of its restaurant and market at the end of 2024, we were left wondering what was next for the iconic location. Now, all has been revealed!
Two concepts will be heading to Ritchie Market. One will see the expansion of one of the city’s most well-known and loved breweries, while the other will be a brand-new project.
Campio Brewing Co. has announced it will take over the space previously home to Biera at 9570 76th Avenue NW.
“From Biera to Campio Ritchie, with honour and gratitude, we carry forward the legacy of craft excellence that @biera_yeg has built. This is more than a transition — it’s a tribute to continued community, kindred creativity, and the relentless pursuit of great food and beer,” the brewery said in an Instagram post.

Campio has been a long-time favourite in the city since opening its first outpost in 2018. As well as craft beer, the spot also serves Detroit-style pizza and a wide selection of bites.
“Expect the bold flavours and warm hospitality you know and appreciate from our downtown location, now growing in a community that Biera helped cultivate and loves,” the brewery added.
Campio hasn’t revealed an exact opening date for the Ritchie location, but it is slated to open this spring.
Alongside Campio, Relish Bar & Market is also set to open soon in the space that occupied Biera Market.

While not too much is known about the new concept just yet, Relish is set to offer “carefully curated wine, beer, cheese, charcuterie and more” in a cozy setting, the spot said on Instagram.
We can’t wait to see the new additions to Ritchie Market.
