
Every Lotto Max player hopes to win the jackpot someday, but that day finally arrived for one lucky Canadian who’ll soon be celebrating after scoring a life-changing prize.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and the winning numbers were 05, 06, 16, 26, 29, 37, and 44, with bonus 46. The winner, who matched all seven numbers, will take home the game’s top prize of $15 million. According to WCLC, the ticket was purchased in Edmonton, Alta.
Two people managed to match six of the numbers and the bonus number and will therefore split the second prize, with each receiving $66,763.30. The winning tickets were sold in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

The third prize will be split among 24 winners, each of whom will receive $5,563.60 after matching six of the winning numbers.
No one in B.C. won the Lotto Max Extra prize worth $500,000, and similarly, no one in Ontario scored the $1-million Encore prize.
There have been several Lotto Max jackpot wins recently.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, someone scored the top prize after matching the winning numbers 14, 22, 27, 31, 33, 39, and 50. According to Atlantic Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased in Miramichi, N.B.
Before that, someone in B.C. won an even bigger prize.
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, a Lotto Max player scored a $31-million prize after matching the winning numbers 08, 09, 23, 30, 38, 40, and 43. The ticket was sold online.
The next Lotto Max draw is scheduled for Friday, October 10, and the jackpot has been reset to $10 million.
