For one lucky Canadian lottery player, it was no trick — Halloween weekend came with a $1-million treat.

The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Saturday, Nov. 1, and someone in Canada managed to match the winning number 49972349-03 to win the White Ball prize. As a result, they’re now $1 million richer, after purchasing their ticket in Ontario, according to PlayNow.

The Gold Ball prize at the time was $18 million; however, no one won the Lotto 6/49 top prize.

The Classic Draw winning numbers were 21, 22, 27, 33, 34, and 44, with a bonus of 13. Although no one won the $5-million top prize, three people did match five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number to score the second prize. Two of the winning tickets were sold in Western Canada — one online, and the other in Alberta, according to WCLC — while the third ticket was purchased in New Brunswick, according to Atlantic Lottery. Split among the three of them, each winner will get to take home a hefty share worth $70,448.10.

The third prize will be split between 66 people, who’ll each receive $1,344.60 after they matched five of the six winning numbers.

No one in B.C. won the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and no one won the $1-million Encore prize in Ontario.

The most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot win was on Oct. 15, when someone from Alberta won the $36-million Gold Ball prize. The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and the Gold Ball prize has climbed to $20 million.

Lotto Max players weren’t so lucky in the Halloween day draw.

No one won the $10-million jackpot during the draw, which took place on Friday, Oct. 31. Similarly, no one won the second prize worth $147,153.40. However, the third prize will be split between 28 people, and they’ll each receive $5,255.50.

No one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize in B.C., or the $1-million Encore prize in Ontario.

The last time someone won the Lotto Max jackpot was on Tuesday, Oct. 28, when a lottery player from Grey County, Ont., won the $40 million prize. The next draw is on Tuesday, Nov. 4, and the top prize is $15 million.
