
The dream of winning big in the lottery just became a reality for two very lucky Canadians from the same province.
The most recent Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, July 9, and the jackpot at the time was worth $18 million. Although no one won the Gold Ball prize, someone did win the White Ball prize, worth $1 million, after matching the winning number 13303739-03. According to PlayNow, the lucky ticket was sold in Sooke, B.C.
It was also a lucky draw for another Canadian, who will be taking home an impressive prize. The Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw winning numbers were 02, 17, 18, 22, 32, 37, and bonus 26, and the winner managed to match all six numbers. As a result, they’ll soon be taking home the $5-million top prize. The ticket was purchased online by a lottery player in B.C.

No one won the second prize worth $192,871.90. The third prize will be split among 57 lottery players who matched five of the six winning numbers. Each one will take home $1,420.80.
No one in B.C. will be taking home the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and similarly, no one in Ontario won the $1-million Encore prize.
The last time someone won the jackpot was on June 21, when a lottery player matched the Gold Ball winning number 48771804-01. According to OLG, the ticket was purchased in North Bay, Ontario. The winner scored a jackpot worth $34 million.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, and the Gold Ball prize has increased to $20 million.
