Severe winter weather has impacted large parts of Canada throughout the holiday season, and now we can add a small Canadian community to the list of the coldest places on Earth.
According to a new weather report from WX-Now, which tracks the world’s most extreme weather, one place in the Northwest Territories took the third chilliest spot on Tuesday’s list.
Fort Good Hope felt the winter chill with a frigid -42ºC, with “few clouds” and “ice crystals” in the sky earlier today.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a yellow warning for cold in the region, with cold wind chill values near minus 50ºC continuing today.
