A wind warning is in effect for southern Alberta.
According to Environment Canada, winds of 70 to 100 km per hour will be blowing though parts of Alberta, including the City of Calgary and its surrounding areas.

Last time strong winds blew through Calgary the damage was significant, so keep your heads up and be on the look out while walking outside.
“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage,” the release from Environment Canada said.
“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.”
The winds are expected to calm late Wednesday afternoon.
