The Burger's Priest: HUGE lines gather for new food spot in Calgary
The Burger’s Priest, a popular chain that just opened its first-ever Calgary location, had a very busy first day.
This opening was highly anticipated and there were some major lines to show it. The lines were massive, extending outside the building and down the parking lot.
This new Calgary location opened at 4600 130th Avenue SE in Southpointe on June 18, serving up massive burgers, fries, milkshakes, and more.

This new burger joint was highly anticipated. This is the 28th location for the franchise and YYC was excited to finally try it out. Adding to the festivities, customers were also treated to a few extra goodies for the grand opening.
The first 28 customers standing in the lines received a free burger, fresh-cut fries, and a drink, as well as a limited edition Southpointe Burger’s Priest pin.
There was even a Red Bull DJ truck parked right outside, playing music and handing out free energy drinks all day.
The menu here offers a wide variety of sides, fries, milkshakes, chicken sandwiches, and of course, plenty of delicious and original burger creations.
The classics are served here with your choice of toppings, but there are also wild burger options like double-stacked patties, deep-fried onion rings, using grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun, and also tasty vegetarian options.
The chicken bacon ranch sandwich, the bacon cheese dog, cheese fries, and shakes made from soft serve are a few examples of amazing non-burger twists.
Especially since this is the first location in Calgary, it’s important to know about the very popular, not-so-secret “secret menu.”
There are several hidden menu items, but the most daunting and possibly most delicious has to be the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, made with American cheddar and two premium beef patties, all stuffed between two grilled cheese buns.
Even if there is a line, these burgers are worth the wait.
