Calgary has seen an influx of new restaurants over the last few weeks, representing cuisines from all over Asia, from Malaysian food to Japanese ramen. Now, a new spot offering a taste of Szechuan cuisine has just opened its doors in Northwest Calgary.

Szechaun House aims to bring the bold flavours of Szechuan dining to its outpost at 1051 40th Ave. NW. Szechuan is often characterized by a spicy, mouth-tingling sensation, and the new restaurant offers this in spades.

The spot offers a wide range of dishes, from Chinese hotpots to handmade dumplings, wontons, and noodles. Each dish is also customizable in terms of spiciness, so whether you’re into mild or fiery heat, you won’t go hungry.

Among its many dishes is its Sichuan Special Beef Noodle Soup, a flavourful dish packed with slow-cooked beef in a rich and spicy broth and hand-pulled noodles.
