Popular Edmonton tapas restaurant to open its first Calgary location

Big news for Alberta foodies! One of Edmonton’s most popular tapas bars is finally gearing up to open its first location in Calgary.
If you’ve visited YEG, chances are you have eaten at Bodega. Brought to life by the team behind one of the city’s most renowned restaurants, Sabor, the spot operates several locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area.
Now, the restaurant has officially confirmed its first foray into Cowtown with a new location in the Mission neighbourhood. Signage is up at 2204 4th St. SW, the spot previously home to Bincho Izakaya.

‌”Edmonton’s favourite spot for Spanish tapas and good company is heading south on the QE2,” the restaurant said in an Instagram post.
“We’re so excited to share our brand of hospitality, bold flavours, lively energy and killer wine list in the Mission district this Spring!”
‌The spot offers a wide array of tapas dishes, breads and spreads, charcuterie, and cheese. There are also plenty of larger plates perfect for sharing, such as its seafood paella, grilled Spanish octopus, pork belly, and peri peri chicken.
While Bodega hasn’t shared an opening date just yet, it’s slated to open in the spring.
