Long-standing Calgary specialty store is moving locations after 15 years

A long-standing Calgary store, specializing in oils, vinegars, fresh pasta, and more, is ushering in a new era after 15 years.
Soffritto, a store offering a vast selection of olive oils and vinegars from around the world, revealed that it will be closing its original Fish Creek Village location this month to make way for a brand-new outpost.
“Today, we find ourselves at a crossroads. After much consideration and heartfelt discussions with many of you, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to move our business to Willow Park Village. While we are excited about this new opportunity, it comes with a heavy heart as we say goodbye to the place where our dreams began,” the Soffritto team shared in a Facebook post.

As for the reasoning behind the change, the Soffritto team added that the current tenant mix at Fish Creek Village no longer aligns with its vision, and many customers had suggested that Willow Park is a more convenient location.
The Fish Creek Village outpost, which first opened in 2010, is set to close its doors for good on Sept. 10, with the new outpost slated to open in late September or early October.
Alongside olive oils and vinegars, Soffritto is also known for its sandwiches and fresh pasta. While its offerings at the new outpost will largely remain intact, it will no longer serve its ready-to-eat pasta meals. However, the team will be looking to expand its selection of sandwiches.
Soffritto also has locations in Mahogany, at Calgary’s Farmer’s Market South and West, and Granary Road Market.
It’s set to be an exciting new era for Soffritto.
