One of Calgary's favourite coffee shops has just opened its new flagship location
While many were saddened to learn of the closure of popular neighbourhood cafe Primary Colours earlier this summer, it wasn’t all bitter news.
It was teased that Monogram Coffee, the sister company to Primary Colours, would be taking over the former restaurant space at 802 49th Ave. SW, which would eventually become its flagship cafe.
Now, the time has finally arrived as Monogram has opened its doors at its newest location. Officially opening on Aug. 27, the new and much larger cafe space is bright and airy, still retaining much of Primary Colours’ distinctive style.

Of course, coffee is what Monogram is most known for, and the flagship offers the coffee brand’s full range of beverages.
The new and much larger Monogram Britannia also boasts a full kitchen and in-house bakery at its disposal, complete with a brunch menu with dishes exclusive to the flagship, such as its brioche French toast with cardamom custard and its Madame Monogram, featuring a croissant bun stacked with marinated chicken, tomato jam, béchamel and gouda.
Monogram’s Britannia flagship is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
