The band is best known for being part of the Shrek soundtrack is warning Drake that his sideline antics won’t go over well in Oakland when the Toronto Raptors take on the Golden State Warriors for the NBA Finals.

Smash Mouth — yes, the band from the Bay Area that hasn’t had a hit since 1999 — had some fighting words for the Raptors’ global ambassador and super fan.

“Yo @drake When the ball is in-play sit the FCK down! That aint gonna fly in Oakland,” Smash Mouth tweeted to the rapper on Sunday.

Games 1 and 2 will take place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, before the series shifts to Oracle Arena in Oakland for Games 3 and 4.

Whether you love it or hate it, Drake’s wide range of expressions and reactions have become the norm at Raptors games.

During the Eastern Conference Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks, he did everything from rubbing Nick Nurse’s shoulders and making fun of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s missed free throws to leading the crowd at Jurassic Park.

Gambling websites started offering multiple prop bets on what the 6 God would pull next.

It’s even been suggested that the rapper is Kawhi Leonard’s “emotion surrogate.”

But Smash Mouth just doesn’t think Drake is an All-Star and they definitely do not want him to get his game on and go play when he’s on the Warriors’ home court.

The band clarified that two of its members are Canadian to brush on any suspicions that they may have beef with Canada in general.

They even admitted to liking Drake’s music and took time to clarify that their comment was about the rapper’s behaviour during games.

“I guess we struck a nerve. lol No threats, just observation. Respect the game, respect the players. When you have the honour of sitting courtside know your role and stop trying to affect the game. Otherwise you’re a mascot. That’s all folks!” they tweeted on Monday.

Smash Mouth clearly isn’t looking for any Pusha T style beef, they just think Drake is looking kind of dumb when he’s running around on the sidelines.
