Calgary's only self-serve ramen restaurant is closing this month

Over the last few months, there have been a fair few restaurant closures in Calgary. Now, we have word of another loss to the city.
O-My Kimbap, a Calgary spot known for its Korean street food and self-serve instant ramen, has announced it will be closing its doors this month after opening three years ago.
“Effective June 29th 2025, we will sadly be closing our doors,” the restaurant said in an Instagram post.
“It has been a pleasure serving our dishes to our customers, who became friends and family over the years, but it is time to say our goodbyes.”

“We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly,” it added.
O-My Kimbap opened in 2022 and was known for its kimbap and its wide variety of instant ramen that could be made in-store, complete with a selection of different toppings.
The spot also served desserts, including mochi, mochi ice cream, tanghulu, and more.
For now, Calgarians will still be able to visit O-My Kimbap for a final farewell.
