Beloved Calgary brunch spot was visited by Guy Fieri

A fan-favourite Calgary brunch spot is taking a starring role on a huge Food Network show next month.
Namo Cafe Bistro was visited by none other than the mayor of Flavortown himself, Guy Fieri, as part of the latest season of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
The Edmonton Trail location of the Calgary favourite will be making an appearance on the show when it airs on Friday, March 13.
“For those who have visited our Edmonton Trail location, you may have already noticed the signed poster from Guy Fieri on our wall,” says Chef Ashish, director of Namo Cafe Bistro.

“It serves as a daily reminder of our time on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, an experience we owe entirely to our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who nominated us and pushed to share our story with the world. We are so happy to finally showcase our kitchen’s hard work on a national stage.”
Last summer, Fieri told Dished that he’d shot at six restaurants while visiting Calgary during the Stampede, hailing YYC as a “food Mecca.”
“You’ve got to come to Calgary for the Stampede, but you’ve got to check out the food scene,” he said.
While Fieri has visited several local hot spots over the years, there’s been a lot of Calgary love on the most recent season, with Darwin’s Charcoal BBQ Chicken and Jane Bond BBQ also being featured.
