A big motocross event is coming to Calgary and it's FREE

If you’re looking for an affordable way to get outside and your adrenaline pumping this summer, you might want to check out the Red Bull Outliers.

The event is on its way back to Calgary for the fourth edition of the mass-start Hard Enduro competition. It’s part of a global six-round championship with stops in countries as far as Spain, Germany, and Serbia.

There are two days scheduled, the first taking place at the heart of the city in Olympic Plaza on August 26 at 11 am.

“It’s not every day that you get to see a motocross competition at Olympic Plaza. Red Bull set up an exciting course last year, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store this summer as we welcome them back to the city,” says Cindy Ady, CEO of Tourism Calgary.

Here, 126 riders will hit the custom-built tracks, each hoping to set the fastest lap.

The event will peak the following day with all 302 riders taking to the Badlands for the hard enduro course. Competitors will face intricate terrain with steep climbs and tough descents.

‘’Red Bull Outliers is not just a test of physical prowess but also a celebration of the Canadian Hard Enduro fans spirit and the unwavering pursuit of pushing boundaries,” says Shane Cuthbertson, the event course director.

Both events are free for spectators to enjoy.
