New Lebanese restaurant using generations-old recipes opens in Calgary

A Canadian-owned Lebanese restaurant has just opened its first Calgary location.
Mezza Lebanese Kitchen has officially made its way to the city, opening its first outpost at 4 Royal Vista Way NW.
The quick-service restaurant uses generations-old Lebanese recipes for its dishes, including chicken shawarma, Halifax donair, souvlaki, falafel, and more.

Each of the carefully crafted fillings can be served as a plate, in a pita wrap, or in a veggie-loaded bowl. Mezza also has dishes like poutine and salad.
“Every bite tells a story of tradition, quality, and flavour, making us a standout in fast-casual dining,” Mezza’s website adds.
Originating in Atlantic Canada, Mezza Lebanese Kitchen started as a food court location in 1990. Brothers Tony and Peter Nahas took over the family business in 2012.
Now the brand has several locations across six Canadian provinces, as well as a presence in the Middle East.
