Team behind popular Calgary brewery to open new concept in B.C. mountain town
A brand new brewery is heading to the Columbia Valley this month, and it’s got a neat Calgary connection.
Invermere Brewing Co. will open this month in the stunning mountain town of Invermere, B.C., and it’s being brought to life by the team behind Calgary’s Village Brewery.
Honing in on years of experience crafting award-winning beer in Alberta, Invermere Brewing Co. promises “meticulously crafted beers that balance creativity and tradition.”

The summer lineup will launch with four brews, each paying homage to the region: Copper City Lager, Mount Nelson Hazy, West Coast IPA, and Pacific North Red.
The brewery, which is right in the heart of Invermere, will house a taproom that blends vintage charm and contemporary design, touting itself as “a love letter to the golden days of après-adventure.”
Its walls will be adorned with vintage photos of the Columbia Valley. The bar will feature 12 taps of local beer and craft soda, framing the copper brewing tanks.
There’ll also be programming, including open mic nights and live music to entertain the crowds.
Invermere Brewing Co. will be hosting its huge grand opening weekend over the May long weekend from May 16 to 18, so whether you’re an Invermere local or simply in the area, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate.
