Either there was a serious failure when planning where to put a shooting range, or someone had an absolutely terrible shot.
According to a release from the Grande Prairie RCMP, officers responded to a call of a man being shot while playing a round of golf at a club just south of Grande Prairie.
The incident occurred around 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 25.

The man had been participating in a tournament when he was shot and had to be taken to a hospital by a witness.
RCMP stated that the investigation was still ongoing at the time of the release, though they did note that there was an organized shooting event taking place at a shooting range nearby and that they are “confident that there is no risk to public safety at this time.”
We’re likely safe in assuming that no one involved in the incident — be it the golfer or the shooter — won their respective competitions this weekend.
