New cocktail bar is set in Calgary after a string of crowd-pleasing pop-ups
A new cocktail bar is gearing up to open on one of Calgary’s liveliest streets, and it may already be familiar to some.
Set to be one of 17th Avenue’s newest additions, Lime’s Bar, a Miami-style cocktail bar, is preparing to open in its first permanent home in Calgary, after a string of successful pop-ups.
Just over a year ago, Lime’s Bar first debuted at Scozzafava’s Deli before hosting popular events at hotspots including Class Clown and Ol’ Beautiful’s Sound Room.
The team told Dished that alongside its cocktails, Lime’s Bar will also be serving up Caribbean and Southern dishes. Just some of the bites seen at the pop-ups include oxtail gyoza and yuzu coquitos.
The bar will be taking over the familiar shipping container-turned-restaurant space that was formerly home to Pimlico Bar and Gringo Street.
While there’s no official opening date just yet, Limes Bar is slated to open this fall, so watch this space.
