One of North America's largest ramen chains is opening a new Calgary restaurant

Huge news for ramen lovers! One of North America’s largest ramen chains is gearing up to open a new location in the city in a prime location.
Kinton Ramen, a chain hailing from Toronto, is set to open its second Calgary location, this time heading to the Mission neighbourhood at 1904 4th St. SW.
The spot is known for its authentic Japanese ramen and casual dining experience. Its menu has been developed by Chef Aki Urata, using only the freshest ingredients to create top-quality noodles and broths.
Earlier this year, the popular ramen joint opened its first outpost in the city at South Trail Crossing. Another location in Uxborough is set to open in the summer.
The openings form part of an Area Representative Agreement with Kinton Ramen and The Labreche Group to open 12 outposts in Alberta over the next five years.
Karalyn White, senior director of franchising at Kinka Family, the restaurant group behind Kinton Ramen, told Dished that, while the majority of those outposts will be in Calgary and Edmonton, locations including Banff and Red Deer will also be targeted.
While Kinton Ramen has yet to announce an official opening date for the Mission location, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
