One of the largest ramen chains in North America just opened its first Calgary restaurant

In our opinion, you can never have too many ramen spots, which is great news as a Toronto-based ramen joint is finally making its debut in Calgary.
Kinton Ramen has opened its doors in Calgary for the first time at its brand-new location at South Trail Crossing.
The store has revealed it has soft opened to the public, and while its opening times are currently listed as noon to 8 p.m. every day, hours may vary. The restaurant will soon be announcing its grand opening plans.

The Toronto-based ramen spot is known for its authentic Japanese ramen and casual dining experience. The menu has been developed by Chef Aki Urata and uses only the freshest ingredients to create top-quality noodles and broths.
As well as South Trail Crossing, Kinton Ramen has two more YYC locations on the way this year, including one in Mission, slated to open in the spring. Another location in Uxborough is set to open in the summer.
Last year, Kinton Ramen signed an Area Representative Agreement with The Labreche Group to open 12 outposts in Alberta over the next five years.
Karalyn White, senior director of franchising at Kinka Family, the restaurant group behind Kinton Ramen, told Dished that while the majority of those will be in Calgary and Edmonton, spots including Banff and Red Deer will also be targeted.
