According to a release from the Lethbridge Police Service, the incident occurred just after 4 am on Thursday, August 16 when police responded to reports of a vehicle colliding with a fence.
The driver of the vehicle then collided with a second fence before heading down an alleyway and running into the 7-11 on 23rd Street North.
The building wasn’t enough to stop the car, however, as it also collided with a responding police vehicle before coming to a rest.
The officer in the vehicle arrested the driver, who turned out to be a 14-year-old girl. She was taken to hospital following the collision and was found to be impaired.
The girl’s name cannot be released as she is a minor, though she was charged with both impaired driving and dangerous driving.
