Calgary’s 'first female-forward sports lounge' opens its doors
The Blues Can, an iconic Calgary music venue, officially opened its doors at its new location in April, but the team has also just opened a brand-new sports bar concept.
The latest iteration of the much-loved spot for music lovers can be found at 2002 16th Ave. NW, where it hosts live music every night. Alongside The Blues Can, Calgarians can check out Goal Diggers Pub, a sports bar doing things a little differently.
Goal Diggers Pub, touted as “Calgary’s first female-forward sports lounge,” specializes in women’s sports. With nine televisions onsite, the pub will air as many women’s professional sports as possible, so there’s no need to miss out on any of the action.

As well as settling down to watch some sports, Goal Diggers is also home to pool tables and darts.
Guests can indulge in the same food menu as The Blues Can, which includes po’boy sandwiches, soups, salads, and a wide range of bar snacks.
Goal Diggers is open from 11 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
