Gas prices seem to be on the move in Alberta this week, with a gas price analysis service forecasting a price increase tomorrow.

After seeing a spike at the pump yesterday,Ā Gas Wizard predicts prices will rise by approximately four cents per litre (to $1.369) in Calgary and four cents per litre (to $1.359) in Edmonton on Thursday, March 5.

The price of premium fuel is also set to increase by four cents per litre in Calgary and Edmonton, while diesel prices are forecast to jump by five cents per litre in both cities.

Despite yet another jump at the pump so far this week, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. Looking at the daily pump price survey done by Kalibrate, the highest prices are currently found in Vancouver at $1.765 and Victoria at $1.749.

According to the daily pump price survey, the only major centres that are below $1.30 per litre in the country are Lethbridge, Alta., and Moose Jaw, Sask., at $1.264 and $1.295, respectively.

So, text your friends and call your parents to encourage them to stop at the nearest gas station when they can. With such gorgeous weather in the forecast for Edmonton and Calgary soon, a nice cruise around town may be in order.
