It may be wise to stop and grab some fuel at the next gas station you see, because a gas price analysis service is hinting at a price increase in Alberta.

Gas Wizard predicts prices will rise by approximately four cents per litre (to $1.329) in Calgary and five cents per litre (to $1.319) in Edmonton on Tuesday, March 3.

The price of premium fuel is also set to increase by four cents per litre in Calgary and five cents per litre in Edmonton, while diesel prices are forecast to jump by a whopping 10 cents per litre in both cities.

Despite the jump at the pump, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. Looking at the daily pump price survey done by Kalibrate, the highest prices are currently found in Victoria at $1.752 and Vancouver at $1.728. It could be worse, we guess?

So, text your friends and call your parents to encourage them to stop at the nearest gas station when they can. We have to save as much coin as we can to enjoy all the road trips this summer, and we recommend checking out two spots in Alberta that have been named some of the most beautiful in Canada, or nine spots and cities in the province that are underrated.
