The Calgary Mental Health Association (CMHA) has just launched its new Recovery College.

Calgarians of all walks of life will be able to use the college as a resource, as all classes are free to attend, and cover subjects like Parenting After Violence, Art of Friendship, and A Good Night’s Sleep.

The classes will run through the summer and into fall, and potential attendees can register online by going to the CMHA’s website.

All classes will be run by two trainers, one being professionally educated, and the other with professional experience. Courses are primarily held at the CMHA’s Welcome Centre, but will occasionally be found at other venues throughout the city.

There will be a total of 49 courses offered, 239 sessions, and 21 locations.

“On this journey, we not only learn new skills and ways of being, but we also find new ways to connect to those around us,” says the Recovery College website.

“Through connection we build on the positive energy that envelops the recovery journey and move towards our best selves, living life to the fullest and embracing all of the wonder it holds.”

Some of the sessions welcome walk-ins, though most courses will require registration to attend.
