The Calgary Police Service has issued updates on the three incidents seen in Calgary on Monday.

Two suspicious deaths and one suspicious fire warranted CPS’ attention on Monday morning, resulting in multiple releases from the service.

The incidents were all seemingly unrelated, according to law enforcement, though Calgary police offered an update on each in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the update, the suspicious death in the community of Horizon was deemed non-criminal following an autopsy.

The death of a woman found on the 600 block of Marian Crescent NE was deemed criminal, however. Police have identified the victim as 24-year-old Brittney Ann Meszaros.

Her partner, 23-year-old Alexander Moskaluk, has been charged with one count of manslaughter in relation to Meszaros’ death.

The release notes that “police aren’t aware of a domestic violence history in relation to the couple.”

The release also included an update on the victim of a fire at a senior’s facility that was allegedly set on Monday morning.

The man, a resident of the building, remains in hospital in life-threatening condition.

Another resident of the building has been charged with arson, but due to mental health issues, they have not been publicly identified by police.
