Canadian fried chicken chain, known for its waffle sandwiches, opens its first Calgary location

A Canadian fried chicken and waffle chain has just opened its first Calgary location.

Cluck Clucks, a fried chicken haven which originated in Ontario, has officially opened its doors at 50 Sage Hill Passage NW.

The spot specializes in hand-cut halal chicken and perfectly golden waffles. Along with traditional bone-in chicken, Cluck Clucks also serves juicy waffle sandwiches such as its Cluck Yeah, which features crispy boneless chicken, chipotle aioli, dill mayo and creamy coleslaw, all served on a savoury jalapeño cheddar waffle.

There’s also plenty of classics, such as sliders and loaded fries, wedges, poutine and more.

Since opening in 2014, the chicken restaurant has expanded to six locations in the Greater Toronto Area. It’s also opened its first U.S. location in Texas and is gearing up to open three more south of the border.
