Two CFL championship rings are missing in Calgary after being stolen from Stampeder Bo Levi Mitchell’s vehicle earlier this month.

His truck had been parked in a lot in the 3500 block of 8th Avenue NE on Thursday, January 2 when the rings were stolen, and now CPS is trying to locate one 2018 Grey Cup ring and one 2018 CFL Most Outstanding Player ring.

Police managed to locate and arrest a suspect thanks to assistance from CCTV images, though the rings were not located upon arrest.

Police are asking the public, and especially buyers and sellers of sports memorabilia, to keep an eye out for the rings.

“Given the uniqueness of these rings, it is highly likely that someone in our community knows where they are or will come across them,” said Calgary Police Service Cst. Sean Lynn in the release.

“These rings represent more than just a piece of jewelry, they represent significant accomplishments and we would all like to see them returned to the rightful owner.”
