Freezing temperatures in the forecast for Calgary this week

Sep 18 2017, 10:55 pm

The first day of fall will be Calgary’s coldest in months.

This Friday night will see a low of 0°C, so be sure to bring a jacket and some gloves if you’re out to celebrate the start of the new season.

Rain may also be in the forecast, with a 30% chance of precipitation from Wednesday to Saturday, and 20% for Monday and Sunday.

The sun will be shining through for parts of the day at least, so you’ll have a chance to wave goodbye to the summer sun that has been both a blessing and a curse throughout this infamously dry season.

Sunday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 15°C and calmer winds than what we’ll see in the days leading up to it.

So break out those scarves, buy yourself that new jacket, and dust off your trustiest boots—you’ll be needing them in the days to come.
