New 27-storey building in the works for downtown Calgary has a WILD design
A new building is in the works for downtown Calgary, and it might just be one of the most eye-catching additions to the city’s skyline yet.
The development, located on the corner of 11th Avenue and 4th Street SW, comes from Calgary-based developer Truman. Called Imperia, the 27-storey tower will feature over 270 luxury residences and 11 on-site amenities.
What sets the building apart is its design, which features a noticeable break running through the middle of the building, which is home to a three-storey amenity space called The Vault.

The Vault offers a range of amenities, including a barbecue space and patio, a gym with a climbing wall, a lounge with a bar, a dedicated pet spa and dog run, and a gaming lounge with a state-of-the-art commercial golf simulator.

According to the project’s website, the junior suites will feature one-bedroom layouts that are approximately 359 sq. ft. with nine-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, quartz countertops and backsplash, central air conditioning, and stunning views of downtown Calgary. Prices for these units currently range from $463,900 to upwards of $500,000.

The new downtown building is in a prime location, just a three-minute walk from 17th Avenue, seven minutes to the Core Shopping Centre, 10 minutes from the Calgary Tower, and about 12 minutes from the Calgary Stampede grounds.

Imperia is just one of many buildings set to change Calgary’s skyline. A 499-foot tower is currently in the works, as well as an office conversion project that will feature a luxury hotel downtown.
