Chinook headaches are usually more than worth it if it means a bit of warmth, and this weekend will be no exception.
While Calgary has just gone through a winter storm that left the city in an utter whiteout, a thaw may very well be on the horizon, with temperatures reaching as high as 12°C over the next seven days.
But before we get to all the sunshine and rainbows, this Canadian city will need to make it through a very Canadian night, with lows of -16°C on the docket for Monday, according to Environment Canada.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will each get a little warmer in turn, with sunny days seeing temperatures of -7°C, -4°C, and -4°C respectively.
Once Friday hits it’s basically springtime in Calgary.
A mix of sun and clouds will bring a high of 5°C (hallelujah!) and a low if -1°C in the night. Saturday and Sunday will our first glimpse of the 2018 spring, with highs of 10°C and 12°C, and bright blues skies the full weekend through.
So, yeah, a full 28°C temperature swing from Monday to Sunday, and not a drop of rain or flake of snow expected in all seven days. Just a normal week of Calgary weather.
