If you’re confused as to why your own suburban cul-de-sac hasn’t had a visit from the City’s snowplows quite yet, we’ve got something special to show you. Calgary got a massive snow dump last night and the City is busy clearing the roads.
Calgary actually has a map showing exactly where each of the hard-working snowplows are currently clearing streets, and which areas they’ve recently visited.

As you can see, the colour-coordinated lines give hour-by-hour updates as to how long it’s been since they’ve seen a clear, along with showing what streets are considered priority one or priority two.
Unfortunately, not too many cul-de-sacs fall under the priority designation, so it may be up to you to shovel out your street.
Calgary is rallying after the heavy snowfall that hit the city last night and this morning, and though the Environment Canada snowfall warning has ended, it is still expected to be a pretty snowy Tuesday.
If you don’t already have them, invest in a good hardy shovel, a warm pair of boots, and some solid winter tires, because winter has only just begun.
