Calgarians are used to a pretty harsh winter – we’re living in Canada, after all.
But 31 cm falling in just a few days is a little extreme, even for us.
The snow storm warning that was first issued by Environment Canada on Wednesday has finally ended, though the city is now left with piles of the fluffy white stuff and not a Chinook in sight.
Needless to say, people are responding with some mixed emotions about their new winter wonderland, including the Calgary Police Service.
I hate winter & this is snow 🌨 joke#Calgary under #abstorm warning
When a storm blows in with an icy, snowy glaze
Snow piles up, tires get spun
Deep in the snow you’re sliding
Other drivers can’t stop staring
Oh #yyc, we want to slow down wit’cha

“But the snow in Calgary is light and fluffy!” Yeah, that doesn’t matter when you have to shovel a foot of the stuff
