Calgary apartment construction project with 500+ units underway in a prime location

A new apartment development with more than 500 rental units is in the works for a prime location in southwest Calgary.
The Heritage-MacLeod Apartments will bring 501 units across three separate buildings to the intersection of Heritage Drive SW and Macleod Trail, with the development expected to be completed in 2028.
The new complex is located right next to the Heritage CTrain Station, giving residents easy access to public transit and a convenient connection to downtown Calgary and other parts of the city.
The development will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with some units also featuring dens. The suites will feature premium finishes, and residents will also have access to underground parking.

The location also puts the development close to Macleod Trail, one of Calgary’s main north-south routes and home to one of the city’s most popular shopping destinations.
There will also be plenty of amenities on site, including an exclusive resident lounge, a 24-hour fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool. The pool area will feature a patio with barbecues and fire pits, giving residents another space to spend time outdoors.
Pet owners will also have a few extra perks, with plans for an off-leash dog run and a dedicated pet washing station.
The project is being developed by Deveraux Developments, a company specializing in multi-family residential communities across Western Canada. The company broke ground on the Heritage-MacLeod Apartments in July 2025.
This isn’t the only apartment development near a Calgary CTrain station in the works. A 1,500-unit residential development is proposed near Brentwood Station, and a 400-unit development is planned near the Franklin CTrain Station.
